Synergy’s Great British Technology Triumphs Overseas

Just 10 months on from partnering with global commercial cooking equipment supplier Garland, Synergy’s pioneering, British technology has formally been recognised by the US market for its unbeatable green credentials as the Garland XHP Broiler scoops the prestigious Blue Flame Award.

Awarded by the Energy Solutions Center (ESC) – a non-profit organisation dedicated to bringing new gas solutions to the commercial sector – the Garland XHP Broiler was chosen as the winner of the 2021 Blue Flame Award due to its many green credentials including zero fat disposal and gas savings of up to 59% in comparison to a standard Charbroiler.

This incredible gas saving is made possible thanks to Synergy’s patented gas burner system which is exclusively available to the US market via the Garland brand.

Justin Cadbury, Chairman and CEO of Synergy Grill Technology, is hugely proud to see Synergy’s Great British technology making waves in the US market:

“At Synergy Grill Technology, the objective is simple – to help operators and chefs to deliver a better quality of food at a lower cost, using considerably less energy, in a safer, cleaner manner: a mission that has moved onto a global-scale after we chose to partner with Garland so that US foodservice operators can share the same financial, practical and environmental benefits as Synergy’s UK customers.”

Synergy Grill’s innovative, patented technology atomises any fat produced during grilling process. As the fat atomises, any moisture that comes from the food also turns into steam which gently penetrates back into the food to ensure a perfect texture and taste like no other. This atomisation also completely eradicates the need for a fat tray, and therefore, removes the historically strenuous task of cleaning, along with the environmentally damaging disposal of waste fat.

Synergy Grill Technology are in their element with eGrill launch

Ten years ago, Synergy Grill Technology transformed the gas grill market when they launched the original Synergy grill, featuring patented and game-changing, vapourisation system. Now, employing the specialist knowledge that they have amassed over the last decade, Synergy Grill Technology is set to revolutionise the electric grill sector like no other, with the launch of the eGrill.

Featuring never before seen technology, the new Synergy eGrill range is built around a patented system of elements which delivers focused and exceptionally high heat to enable faster cooking times and electricity savings up to a massive 25%. Thanks to a patented atomisation process, that is similar to that found in Synergy gas grills, the natural food oils are then used as a secondary heat source, thus turning fat into free fuel. This delivers an environmentally responsible grill which saves 12 tons of CO2 residue per year, in comparison to a standard electric grill.

As the eGrill range also atomises fat, there is no fat tray for chefs to clean and no risk of irresponsible disposal of fatty waste. With no fat tray, not only is the Synergy eGrill quick and easy to clean, but it can reduce the number of duct and extraction baffle cleans required by a factor of seven, resulting in a cleaner, less polluted working environment for kitchen staff.

Justin Cadbury, Chairman of Synergy Grill Technology, believes that the eGrill has the potential to change the electric grill market even more fundamentally than the original Synergy Grill transformed the gas grill sector:

“This Synergy eGrill is an industry changing new product for those who prefer electricity to gas but want lower energy costs and better food quality, further widening our portfolio for greatest choice in grills where we specialise. It has taken us a longer time to launch the new electric grill because, quite simply, in order to be called a ‘Synergy Grill’ it has to meet certain criteria including: less energy usage, carbon footprint reduction and, of course, money savings. Inspired by 10 years of specialised knowledge base in grill technology, our brand new patented eGrill technology ticks all of these boxes, providing a superior electric solution to commercial kitchens worldwide.

As we increasingly move into a more environmentally friendly and sustainability conscious era, electric grills are becoming more frequently requested, especially from countries who are looking to switch to 100% electric in the coming years including the likes of Spain, Italy and Portugal. We are delighted and proud of our achievement to develop a product that complements our existing product base so perfectly with our existing gas-powered products grills.”

Delivering more succulent food with a higher weight yield, food cooked on a Synergy eGrill is self-basted in its own natural vapour, resulting in no over-charring or the ‘black smoke’ taste synonymous with grilled food. Instead, food cooked on a Synergy eGrill is gently smoked for a tender food product with an intense BBQ flavour and defined bar marks without the need for gas or charcoal.

Synergy eGrill’s are available in Synergy 600 and 900D models, as well as an outdoor cook station.

Synergy Grill Technology launches online savings tool to calculate how much you can save when switching to a Synergy Grill

Synergy Grill Technology has launched a new and improved online, cost-savings tool which allows operators to calculate how much money they can save when switching to a Synergy Grill.

Available for all to access via Synergy Grill Technology’s website, the new and improved cost-savings tool now not only allows operators to gain a more accurate understanding of the fuel, CO₂ , labour and maintenance savings that they could gain, in comparison to their current model of grill. This device also allows customers to understand how much they can save when leasing a Synergy Grill via the recently launched Synergy Contract scheme.

Richard Ebbs, Commercial and Marketing Director at Synergy Grill Technology, outlines:

“With such a precise and detailed tool as this, there really is no excuse for operators to ignore the many cost-saving credentials of a Synergy Grill, especially when the cost-saving calculations can be retrieved in a matter of minutes by filling in a few, simple venue-specific details.
Once completed, the operator will then receive an email which details the potential savings a venue can make.”

To put these potential savings into perspective, one leading pub-chain recently calculated that after replacing their previous grills with a 900 wide Synergy Grill in each of their 400 sites, they will save a whopping £500,000 in energy costs per year, and prevent 4,400 tonnes of CO₂ entering the atmosphere – that’s the equivalent of taking 800 cars off of the road every single year!

Justin Cadbury, Chairman of Synergy Grill Technology, is tremendously proud to be helping operators make these incredible savings, particularly given the current climate where businesses are looking at ways to reduce costs and improve efficiency:

“As a British supplier that has sustainability at the very core, Synergy Grill Technology is delighted to be helping operators reduce their costs and environmental impact at a time where savings are so imperative.
By utilising our new and improved cost-savings tool, we hope that operators will gain a better confidence in the savings that they can make with Synergy – savings, which will ultimately help them to get through these challenging post-lockdown times.”

Synergy Grill Technology launch their new Partnership Initiative

Synergy Grill Technology is making it their mission to help those in the industry that are facing redundancy by launching the new ‘Synergy Grill Partnership Initiative’ – a new scheme that allows those that have been made redundant to start earning in a self-employed capacity.

Designed to work alongside the brand’s new ‘Synergy Contract’ scheme, which was put in place to help the cash flow of the operator during the post-lockdown period, the ‘Synergy Grill Partnership Initiative’ rewards ‘partners’ who sign-up an operator to the new scheme. To put the financial reward of this scheme into perspective, for every Synergy contract they introduce, Synergy Grill Technology will pay the partner a finder’s fee which could be as much as £792 per grill. So just ten-unit sales a month, could earn the partner nearly £8,000 a month.

Another benefit of the scheme for partners, is that there is no overhead of buying equipment upfront to then sell on, you simply introduce the customer and get paid on results.

Justin Cadbury, Chairman and CEO of Synergy Grill explains:

“Over the past few weeks, we have been saddened to see so many friends in the industry and highly experienced, passionate and knowledgeable catering equipment experts being made redundant through no fault of their own. Covid-19 has had a devastating effect on our industry, and we must all look at ways to recover and help those affected. Hence, why we have developed the ‘Synergy Grill Partnership Initiative.

Over this period, many people have re-evaluated both their short and medium term ambitions, so to now have the opportunity be part of a team that focuses on new British technology which delivers huge customer benefits and environmental advantages may well be the perfect timing.

Synergy Grill Technology has never needed to hard sell due to the obvious benefits of the equipment. However, we do continually get told by frustrated operators that they have never heard of us, or did not realise the like no other benefits, that a Synergy grill can bring. Therefore, this initiative will not only hopefully help out those in need, but will also give Synergy Grill Technology a wider ambassadors on the ground.”

Richard Ebbs – Commercial and Marketing Director for Synergy Grill Technology explains how easy it is for individuals to get involved:

“Synergy is keen to support those in the industry facing redundancy with this new initiative. We have tried to design it so partners can use the scheme as much or as little as they like and as there is no notice period or specific sales targets, it is a flexible solution that partners can utilise until they find new employment.

We have set up new partner packs which contain everything that a potential partner will need in order to promote the deal including; leaflets, flyers, spec sheets, contact information, price-lists and our contract savings calculator which provides personalised saving calculations for their customer on the likes of gas etc. All potential partners need to do is get in touch!”

Operators that sign-up to the Synergy Contract scheme will receive a brand-new Synergy grill, pay nothing for installation, pay nothing for the removal of their old grill and do not even pay a deposit! And the good news doesn’t stop there… Synergy is also confident that the monthly contract amount will equate to less than the immediate cost savings that customers will gain in reduced gas usage, through upgrading from a standard chargrill – so their cashflow benefits from day one.

If you would like to discover more about the Synergy Partnership Initiative you are urged to email Synergy via re@synergygrill.com, or message Richard Ebbs directly via LinkedIn.
