Synergy Grill Technology encourages operators to #ChallengeSynergy at HRC

Synergy Grill Technology is encouraging operators to #ChallengeSynergy at this year’s Hotel, Restaurant & Catering show by taking their gas bill to stand P505 to see how much they could save when they switch to Synergy.

Utilising the company’s cost savings calculator, this quick and simple online tool allows operators to gain a more accurate understanding of the fuel, CO2, labour, and maintenance savings that they could gain in comparison to their current model of grill.

Justin Cadbury, Chairman of Synergy Grill Technology, explains just how important it is to start making energy savings sooner rather than later:

“It’s a staggering statistic that the price of gas is a whopping thirteen times more expensive than it was just one year ago. With quick action, operators can save themselves from this massive increase by securing themselves a 59% energy saving when they switch to a Synergy Grill, avoiding the rising running costs simply by moving to a brilliant piece of British technology. By bringing their energy bills to our stand, operators will be astonished at the potential savings they could make within just one year when they switch to Synergy.

With such a precise and detailed tool as our cost-savings calculator, there is no excuse for operators to ignore the many cost saving credentials of a Synergy Grill, especially when the calculations can be retrieved in a matter of minutes by filling in a few, simple venue-specific details. It’s time for operators to take their head out of the sand and start making serious savings. The only way for energy prices is up, and it’s a sad reality that the more you delay, the more you pay!”

As a British supplier that has sustainability at the very core, Synergy Grill’s revolutionary, patented burner technology allows operators to cut gas consumption by a massive 59% and electricity consumption by 25%. Synergy’s patented heat capturing combustion system delivers this massive financial saving by ensuring that the high heat is focused directly on the food, therefore requiring less energy, and providing both an economical and sustainable grilling experience.

Synergy Grill Technology will be exhibiting at the Hotel, Restaurant and Catering show on Stand P505 from 21st – 23rd March 2022 #ChallengeSynergy

Synergy Grill Technology vow to help businesses slash their energy bills

The more you delay, the more you pay!

With gas prices hitting the headlines once again and wholesale costs reportedly seeing a 250% surge since the start of 2021, Synergy Grill Technology has seen a significant rise in visits to its cost savings calculator: synergygrill.com/gas-cost-savings-calculator. This phenomenal rise in gas prices has seen operators start to look even more seriously at ways in which they can counteract this additional strain on their business. This involves investigating what energy efficient equipment is already available on the market, what savings it can bring to their operation and the additional benefits of installing the latest technology within their venue.

Justin Cadbury, Chairman and CEO of Synergy Grill Technology, explains how investing in a Synergy Grill can result in substantial savings:

Gas prices are set to double, with significant increases from circa 4p kWh rising unprecedentedly to around 7-11p kWh depending on different energy contracts. With quick action, operators can significantly counter this rise by securing themselves a 59% energy saving when they switch to a Synergy Grill.

UKHospitality has already reported an average 41% rise in energy bills, paired with other price hikes including labour costs, food and drink prices and insurance costs which are already putting unprecedented strain on the hospitality industry. It’s very unlikely that energy prices are going to come down and may quite likely escalate further. So, it’s a hard fact that the more you delay, the more you pay!”

Synergy Grill’s revolutionary, patented burner technology allows operators to cut gas consumption by a massive 59% in comparison to commercial gas a grills of a similar size. When you quantify this astonishing figure into monetary value, operators are looking at potential savings of over £9,000 per year, equating to a staggering £48,000* worth of savings over a five-year period. By pre-mixing air with gas, operators of the Synergy Grill are able to burn 100% of the gas, as opposed to a mere 65-75% which is typical of other commercial chargrills on the market which not only proves inefficient, but also costly.

Prior to the inflation of gas prices, many energy-efficient pieces of equipment, such as the Synergy Grill, would repay the additional outlay within 9 months. This latest significant inflation in gas prices is likely to mean that operators could start seeing savings within just 6

months after the initial purchase, making it a short-term planning exercise that will generate virtually immediate financial benefits.

Synergy Grill Technology Triumph with Trilogy of Footprint Awards

Synergy Grill Technology has been presented with the Energy Efficiency Award at the annual Footprint Award ceremony for the second year running. This comes following their win in the same category in 2020, as well as their Sustainable Catering Equipment Manufacturer Award victory in 2019. Judged by industry specialists, the Energy Efficiency Award was awarded to Synergy’s patented range of electric grills, Synergy eGrill, which consume on average 25%* less electricity than their competitors, equating to around £3,000 in electricity savings per year.

Since its inception in 2011, Footprint Awards has been the barometer for sustainability and responsible business practice in the foodservice sector. The awards remain the only initiative to honour the achievements of companies in the area of sustainability and responsible business practice in the out of home sector and its supply chain.

Justin Cadbury, Chairman of Synergy Grill Technology, is delighted that Synergy Grill has been recognised for its energy efficiency credentials for another year:

“The Synergy eGrill is an industry-changing innovation for those who prefer electricity to gas but also want a superior grilling experience. It took us over two years of research and development before launching the eGrill, because in order to be called a ‘Synergy Grill’ it has to meet certain criteria, namely unrivalled performance, substantial carbon footprint reduction and rapid self-financing, with eGrill ticking all of these boxes.

To be awarded with the Energy Efficiency Footprint Award for two years in a row further corroborates that foodservice operators are able to make significant energy savings when investing in our equipment. We are immensely proud of our achievement to develop a product range which receives continuous recognition for its energy efficiency credentials and we thank the judges at Footprint for this prestigious award.”

Charlie Miers, Co-Founder and CEO of Footprint Awards, commended Synergy’s 3-year triumph:

“Footprint Awards, now in its 10th year, is always such a great barometer of annual progress within the foodservice industry. Being awarded with a Footprint Award for one year is an achievement in itself, but three consecutive years is quite a triumph!

Synergy’s two-year reign within the Energy Efficiency category pays tribute to their exceptional energy saving and sustainability credentials which remain unrivalled by their competitors.

The judging panel, consisting of industry specialists, commended Synergy’s success in engineering not just the efficient production of energy, but also the recycling of residual energy by transforming natural food oils into fuel. Synergy should be incredibly proud of their third Footprint Award win and we congratulate them on this tremendous achievement.”

Featuring never-seen-before technology, Synergy eGrill is built around a patented system of elements, hot plates and air vortex system which delivers focused and exceptionally high heat to enable faster cooking times and electricity savings up to a massive 25%. Thanks to a
patented atomisation process, that is similar to that found in Synergy gas grills, the natural food oils are used as a secondary heat source, thus turning fat into free fuel. This delivers an environmentally responsible grill which saves 12 tons of CO2 residue per year, in comparison to a standard electric grill.

With energy efficiency and sustainability being at the very core of the brand, Synergy Grill ensure exceptionally sustainable standards from production and design, right through to the
actual grilling process. Unlike other commercial grills on the market, Synergy never use solid fuels such as wood or charcoal. Instead, they offer a 100% gas and electric product portfolio to provide operators with a cleaner and greener grilling experience with less environmental impact.

“Our Trilogy range is the perfect piece of kit to showcase not only the chef’s expert cooking abilities, but the top quality meat that is used at The World Steak Challenge. Criteria for the ‘cooked’ stage of the judging process includes the appearance, aroma, tenderness, flavour and succulence of each steak, all of which are heightened by Synergy’s patented technology which uniquely cooks the steak, to deliver an intense, bold flavour. By atomising fat and natural oils, food cooked on a Synergy Grill continually self-bastes and retains the moisture, resulting in a more succulent product which has up to 50% less shrinkage!”

Ellie Knight, Head of Events for William Reed, organisers of the World Steak Challenge, explains why Synergy will play such a vital role at the event:

“The World Steak Challenge is back with a bang and we are delighted to choose Synergy Grill Technology once again as the official supplier. Top quality steak requires top quality equipment and we always receive such high praise about Synergy Grills from the chefs and judges alike that it just had to be our grill of choice once again. Andrew Green, Chief Executive of The Craft Guild of Chefs, explains the significance of the programme:

We mark equipment on a range of criteria dependant on their usage. For cooking equipment such as Synergy grills, quality of food, ease of cleaning and crucially, sustainability credentials are all very much part of our assessment. We are pleased to be able to recommend Synergy Grill Technology to other industry professionals and we wish the Synergy team every success with the range as well with further expansion of their product ranges in the future.”
