Beales Gourmet and Synergy – The Perfect Fit…

We purchased our Synergy grill earlier this year after seeing it in action at a prolific chef industry event we hosted here at The Italian Villa.  On initial enquiry, we had concerns as to whether we could actually fit the grill in to our kitchen. However, after a site visit from Synergy demo chef Claire Mansfield and Extracair, we were advised on a minor, cost effective, kitchen refit..et voila: the Synergy grill fitted-in perfectly! The grill cooks food evenly, saves us money on gas and is very easy to clean!  I highly recommend this piece of kit to any catering establishment where volume, food quality and consistency is key. As busy event caterers, the grill is constantly in use to bar-mark the food which is then cooked-through before service. Whatever the purpose you need the Synergy Grill, you will not be disappointed.”– Tony Beales M.D. Beales Gourmet & The Italian Villa

CKS: Taking Home The Gold!

Synergy Grill are proud to announce that we have won a Gold Award for our Synergy Grill Mk2 at the Commercial Kitchen Show.

Taking place at the NEC Birmingham on the 5th and 6th June, the show is the perfect platform for suppliers and manufacturers to showcase their products whilst visitors from catering and hospitality businesses can see the latest equipment and meet new suppliers in the industry.

At the show, we hosted live cooking demo’s and visitors had the opportunity to see for themselves the amazing features of the Synergy Grill, they also got to sample the fabulous food cooked on the grill by our chef.

We also took part in the shows annual ‘Innovation Challenge’, where manufacturers can enter their latest innovative products into the competition to win a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award.

We chose to enter our Synergy Grill Mk2 model into the challenge, which is our latest version of our famous grill.

The Synergy Grill was designed to not only improve the quality of grilled food but to be energy efficient, reliable and easy to use whilst saving businesses time and money.

The Synergy technology revolves around a patented gas combustion system using a mix of gas and air to ensure a clean burn, reducing energy consumption by an average of 59%.

Using its specialist technology, the Synergy Grill atomises fat from the foods being cooked and pushes the moisture back into the food to produce juicy and succulent meat, fish and vegetables, so no need for a fat tray or the costly disposal of fatty waste.

The MK2 version of the Synergy attracted praise from the judges with comments including: “This is British innovation at its best. We were really impressed with the multifunctional elements and the green credentials of this grill.”

The team at Synergy would like to thank everyone who voted for us in the Innovation Challenge.

We are delighted to have won a Gold Award and we loved our time at the Commercial Kitchen Show and already looking forward to the 2019 show.

Well done team!

Make significant savings with Synergy Grill…

Is your commercial kitchen grill costing large amounts in energy bills? Is the price to repair or service your grill significantly expensive? Well, the Synergy Grill could be the answer to these challenges!

Our Synergy Grills are designed and manufactured by using the latest cooking technology, which means users not only benefit from incredible savings they also contribute to protecting the environment.

Our grills can cut gas bills by up to 59% due to its patented air induction system, meaning businesses are making an immediate saving on their bills.

The gas usage for each burner on the Synergy Grill is just 5.7kW each thanks to its unique and advanced burner system, meaning our SG630 model uses 13.11kW/H less than a typical 600mm chargrill.

The average gas savings for each model compared to other commercial chargrills is £10,162 for the SG630 model, £12,328 for the SG900 model and £13,541 for the SG1300 model over a five year period, and the return on investment is typically within the first two months of purchasing a Synergy Grill.

Although the grill’s energy consumption is low, it revolves around a patented burner system which works at an incredibly hot temperature and ceramic heat bed which focuses directly on the food, meaning food cooks faster.

The Synergy Grill turns excess fat from the cooked foods to dust, it also produces white, fat-less smoke which reduces the cost of ventilation maintenance.

It has been proven that our grills can halve ventilation servicing costs which are installed within operations that follow strict air quality regulations.

This reduces the number of call-outs and the risk of kitchen fires due to the reduced strain on the ventilation systems.

Cleaning costs are cut significantly, as Synergy Grill doesn’t need hours of cleaning, any costly, harsh chemical cleaning products and there’s no fat waste to responsibly dispose of.

So, if you find that your current commercial grill is costing you large amounts in energy bills, service, maintenance and cleaning costs, then call us today for a free demonstration!

If you haven’t already considered investing in a Synergy Grill, then now is the time!

Synergy Grill offers solution to ‘fatberg’ issue

As the UK’s ‘fatbergs’ continue to make headlines, Synergy Grill provide a solution to the problem of restaurant fat disposal that’s clogging up our sewers.

Unknown to most who travel London’s streets, but lurking beneath our capital are the monstrous fatbergs, congealed masses of residue from cooking fats and discarded items from homes and businesses, which are playing havoc with our country’s sewers.

Last night Channel 4 documentary, Fatberg Autopsy: Secrets of the Sewers delved deep into Britain’s growing sewerage problem, with host, Rick Edwards, revealing the issues causing the supersize clogs and how we can prevent them.

The programme unveiled the 750m fatberg which lies within the sewage system of east London, following the 130 tonne fatberg which was previously discovered in the Victorian sewers of Whitechapel – a piece of this now resides in the Museum of London.

Scientific tests on the fatbergs has revealed that cooking fats and oils were to blame, with nearly 90% of the build-up made from cooking substances from commercial and domestic kitchens – this is where Synergy Grill comes in.

The multi-patented grill has been designed and manufactured to provide a host of benefits to the chefs who use it, including cutting down restaurant waste by half. The unique gas burner built into the grill boasts extra heat generation, meaning fats from food are naturally vaporised, eliminating the need for dirty fat trays – eliminating the worry of fat, oil and grease.

It is estimated that the removal of fatbergs, which can be a lengthy and difficult procedure for the team involved, is costing water utility payers £80m a year and if not tackled could lead to blockages resulting in raw waste flooding out of our pipes and into homes and businesses.

Inventor of the Synergy Grill, Justin Cadbury, said: “Water companies are beginning to realise that the primary source of fats from restaurants can now be eliminated.

“This is a win-win for them and the restaurants, but its needs genuine senior level support to break a somewhat defeatist attitude that there is no cure except fining restaurants. We have the technology at Synergy, the experience and are here to help in any way.”

Based in Cambridgeshire, Synergy Grill’s fat atomising technology creates extra juicy and succulent grilled food while using around half the energy of a conventional grill.

Justin added: “Delivering better food, a cleaner environment and saving money should be a common-sense objective for restaurants.”

Justin and the whole of the Synergy Grill team are appealing to restauranteurs and foodservice operators to invest in their technology to not just tackle the growing problem throughout the UK’s sewage works, but also improve their operation and quality of their menu.

Synergy Grill has stamp of approval from Vegetarian Society

At Synergy Grill, our grills have proven to be popular among restaurants and chefs alike, and is a favourite of the vegetarian community as it is the only grill approved by the Vegetarian Society.

The Vegetarian Society is a registered charity which promotes vegetarianism, and aims to influence, inspire and support people who wish to lead a vegetarian lifestyle.

The charity offers free advice and information services to individuals, educates chefs and members of the public to cook tasty vegetarian meals and also runs National Vegetarian Week every year.

The Synergy Grill has a wide range of benefits, including allowing meat, fish and vegetables to be cooked at the same time and allowing no cross-flavouring or contamination between foods due to the fat molecules being atomised.

As well as producing succulent, tasty, chargrilled meats and fish, our grills can produce delicious grilled vegetables with the fat from the food being atomised and the moisture being misted back into the food.

As the fat is atomised and turned to dust, the grills do not require the need for a fat tray and the disposal of fatty waste, meaning cleaning the grill is made quick and simple.

With typical gas grills producing oily, black smoke when in use, the Synergy Grill produces white, fatless smoke which takes the strain off ventilation systems and can prevent the risk of kitchen fires and resulting in cleaner ventilation systems, saving further money and helping the environment.

Due to the focused heat technology, the Synergy Grill can also cook meat and vegetables faster than other commercial grills and at a low energy rate, meaning more food can be cooked at once and gas bills are reduced.

We are absolutely thrilled that the Vegetarian Society has approved the Synergy Grill, and we would like to thank the charity for their continuous support and encouragement in using our grills to cook great tasting vegetables and other vegetarian foods.
