We’re looking forward to exhibiting at the Great Hospitality Show later this month at the NEC Birmingham. From Monday 23rd January to Wednesday 25th January The Synergy Team will be there for all three days.

The Great Hospitality Show – A celebration of everything new in British hospitality, and the only show focusing on the business of hospitality will be the UK’s most comprehensive exhibition for foodservice and hospitality in 2017.

We’ll be there from 23rd to 25th January on Stand 451 showcasing our award-winning commercial gas chargrills… The innovative award-winning Synergy Grill is transforming the catering industry. Using pioneering fat atomising technology, its high power, low energy consumption cooks’ food faster at less than half the energy costs of traditional chargrills. The high heat atomises the fat so there’s no fat tray to clean or disposal of fatty waste to worry about, The natural vapours released when cooking are absorbed back into the food, creating incredibly delicious and succulent food.

We’ll be doing live demos across the three days. Our Chef will cooking up a storm using delicious fresh ingredients, why not come and say hello, we’d love to see you and while you’re there sample some of our great flavours freshly cooked by our Chef on the Synergy Grill…

We hope to see you there.

Cyrus Todiwala and Adam Henson on the Farm.

We were excited to see our grill featured on BBC Countryfile recently when TV Chef Cyrus Todiwala OBE gave us his take on spicy sausages. Assisted by Adam Henson they demonstrated how to make fresh handmade sausages using fine local produce…

As the cameras rolled and grilling commenced, Cyrus demonstrated his appreciation of how succulent and tasty the food is when it comes off the grill, “We want Juiciness…what you’re seeing is the juiciness coming through…making the meat tasty and flavoursome!”.

The Synergy Grill’s gas burner system enables the flame to burn very hot, burning or atomises the fat produced from grilled food. Fat turns to dust eliminating the need for a fat tray and the disposal of fatty waste, music to a Chef’s ears…  All other moisture mists back into the food ensuring perfect texture and taste and above all ‘Juiciness…’ Sadly we didn’t get to taste the sausages but I’m sure the film crew enjoyed them!

Precision’s fabulous new variable temperature drawer

Main Logo

We like to support our fellow British manufacturers so we’re delighted Precision has launched a new version of its Variable Temperature Drawer, an individually refrigerated stainless steel unit that provides a compact, bulk storage solution, in the heart of a kitchen.

The new version, model VUBC121, is the first Precision individual drawer to launch since the introduction of the Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Directives and MEPS (Minimum Energy Performance Standard).

In independent tests, carried out by RD&T (Refrigeration Developments and Testing), the drawer scored ‘A’ when operating as a fridge and ‘B’ when being used as a freezer (EN16825 Climate Test Class 4).

The draw has a new airflow design and an upgraded refrigeration system that enhance temperature control while delivering excellent energy efficiency.
The thickness of insulation on the top of the drawer has also been increased, helping to reduce running costs even further. The drawer uses eco-friendly hydrocarbon refrigerant, R290, which has a GWP (Global Warming Potential) of just three. It also features Precision’s ‘green’ polyurethane insulation, which has an ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) of zero.

The draw can be switched from fridge to freezer, at the push of a button, ideal for when seasonal or other menu variations mean storage requirements change.
The unit also includes an optional heat resistant worktop so operators can put cooking appliances on top and it also has the ability to stack units.

“This is our best ever variable temperature drawer,” says Precision managing director Nick Williams. He adds: “I believe the new model offers the best flexible, affordable individual drawer storage solution for the modern commercial kitchen.”

Our good friends at Boyds Grill and Wine Bar are, incidentally, having a fabulous night of gin discovery and tasting this Friday. We’ve tried at cocktail or two at Charlie Boyds place and we can vouch their drinks are worth making the effort for. Check out all the details here.
