Synergy Grill’s smart thinking recognised by Caterer awards

Innovation and efficiency have led to Cambridgeshire-based Synergy Grill winning recognition in the prestigious national Caterer Product Excellence Awards.

Synergy Grill has been shortlisted in the Prime Cooking Equipment category.

It follows a highly successful year which has seen the company’s grills develop a reputation for fuel, efficiency, ease of use and great cooking result in Synergy Grills supplying restaurant businesses including Tom’s Kitchen, run by acclaimed chef Tom Aiken, Pennyhill Park, Galvin Restaurants and Flaming Grill pubs.

North East England pub restaurant company Proud Inns say using Synergy Grills will save their company 50 percent on fuel costs.

While Tom Aiken said: “Synergy Grills are the most fuel efficient and robust grills you can get. They are easy to clean and operate, but most importantly will give you the highest amount of heat you will need to cook anything on.”.

The Synergy Grill revolves around a patented gas burner system which works at superior heat co-efficiency. High heat atomises fat so there’s no fat tray for chefs to clean and they don’t need to worry about the disposal of fatty waste.

Justin Cadbury CEO & Chairman of Synergy Grill, said: “We believe our grills hit the mark across important areas including ease of use, waste efficiency, energy efficiency and, crucially create well presented, extra juicy and succulently grilled food. It is fantastic to see this recognised by the Caterer awards.”

Synergy Grill were recent finalists in the Cambridge Independent Science and Technology Awards.

The company has introduced measures to support caterers and help restaurants to scrap their old inefficient grills. Synergy Grills are now available under a leasing arrangement where it is possible to lease a grill of £80 per month and then to save over £200 per month in gas costs. A scrappage scheme is also on offer to encourage early and highly cost-effective replacement of less efficient gas-guzzling or charcoal grills.

The Caterer Product Excellence Awards recognises excellence and innovation in food, drink and equipment products within the hospitality sector. Organisers say: “The equipment accolades will be awarded to suppliers and manufacturers who can demonstrate fresh thinking, advances in energy saving and innovative use f technology and design.”

The awards ceremony 5 December at the In and Out Club, St James’ Square, London, SW1.
