Proud Inn chooses Synergy Grill for its NE pub kitchens

A growing North East England pub and hotel group has chosen innovative, energy efficient Synergy Grills for its kitchens.

Proud Inns say the British made chargrills give their chefs an edge in cooking succulent, well-presented food while cutting energy costs by up to 50 percent.

Four SG630 Synergy Grills have been installed in each of the four-restaurant kitchens, run by Proud Inns, in Durham and the surrounding area

“We were looking for quality, innovation, and speed and we wanted to buy British,” said Steve Proud, Business Development Manager at family-run Proud Inns.

“Our kitchens are busy producing a very high standard of pub food and both superior quality and efficiency are important. Synergy Grill gives us a top quality, British made product. The grills are both easy to use and easy to clean, thanks to Synergy Grills innovative atomising technology.

“They are also very efficient and we believe we will achieve a 50% saving on gas usage.
“Even more importantly, the presentation of food produced on our Synergy Grills is superb with chargrill marks on our chicken and steaks. The feedback from our chefs has been brilliant.”

Justin Cadbury CEO and Chairman of Synergy Grill, said: “Proud Inns is a growing business with four fabulous pub restaurants. They told us they were looking for innovation in their kitchens and we are delighted that they recognised the advantages that a Synergy Grill brings

“Our grills help chefs to produce succulent, delicious grilled meat and vegetables and our fat atomising technology means they are easy to clean.

“The patented burner is fuel efficient and produces a very high level of heat. It only needs to be turned on when the grill is in use, further reducing energy costs.”

Proud Inns run four venues, the Kings Head, Lanchester, the Jolly Drovers, Consett, the Bluebell Inn, Stanley and the Falcon, Prudhoe. The company was founded by husband and wife, Brian and Michelle Proud.
